Configurator Service — Draft v5
Same browser-only draft as before, extended with a mock OEM login, photo-to-3D handoff, and multi-format model upload. Environment presets are procedural (Studio/Road/Water gradients + matching floors), not photographic 360 panoramas — a deliberate scope call, not a shortcut.
Saved to your account. Switch projects any time — nothing is lost.
Captured into exports and quote requests — not persisted anywhere.
No model loaded yet.
Upload a ready-made 3D model, or a reference photo to hand off for 3D generation.
.glb/.gltf load directly. .obj/.fbx/.stl/.step/.stp/.iges/.igs/.brep are all tessellated and converted to .glb automatically, in-browser, via an embedded CAD kernel. Warning above 80MB — this tab does all the parsing, there's no server yet.
This draft has no live image-to-3D pipeline wired in. Uploading a photo queues it for your team to run through your preferred 3D-generation tool (e.g. Meshy, Tripo3D, Kaedim) — then bring the resulting .glb back to the "Upload 3D model" tab.
Any image files. Reference the exact filename in the data sheet's "texture" column to apply it to a material group.
Procedural backdrop + floor. Included in the exported configurator — client can switch it live.
Columns: category, name, price, hex, texture, materialTarget, nodeTarget. "accessory" = checkbox; anything else = single-select group. Set hex OR texture (texture wins if both set).
Check every real material that should belong to each group — e.g. three separate leather materials can all be "Seats".

This card ships inside the deployed configurator too — it's the "Contact us" flow, not just a builder preview.
Publish for a hosted iframe embed (we host the files), or download the standalone HTML to self-host.
If downloading to self-host: keep any uploaded texture files and the .glb in the same folder as the exported HTML. Embed snippet:
